Shellies Route 66 Cafe in Cuba

Great breakfast. Service wasn't the greatest because it was cramped and busy. It's really not a place you would go to have a meal to visit with friends and family based on the cramped space. Definitely a place where you eat and run. That said they have great prices and delicious breakfast. Will definitely eat here again.

Such an awesome mom n pop place. Food was really good. Service was good. History was written in the menu. Was cool learning about it and route 66 history.

Adorable place! Delicious food. The special of the day was chicken and dumplings...so great and homemade tasting!! The biscuit/bread it was served with was amazing too! Also had a burger. it was very large and filling and tastes great. both the tots and fries were tasty, although I'm partial to the tots. Only downfalls were: no homemade sweet tea (would have been very fitting for a cafe like this!) And they had 0 desserts the day we went! Was looking forward to a homemade pie or cake slice. Will definitely return and call ahead for the dumplings day!

A small cafe, the food was good. It wasn't spectacular but it was good. I had the cheeseburger and fries. It was cooked right and wasn't greasy. The building and furnishings were a bit worn and could definitely do with some remodeling. You have to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. The cafe has a sort of truck stop feel to it. The people were nice and service was good. I would stop there again.

Food was great portions we're big and prices were low. The service was great. Small hometown feel. What more could you ask for.

Nice little place food had me feeling stuffed prices ain't too bad either. Id recommend it an I might become a regular there myself

This was my second dose of the suggested biscuits and gravy! Super good, service was obviously lovely. Portions were large and the bacon, of course was awesome😉 very adorable dinner like atmosphere and plenty of locals!

Fantastic breakfast!!!! Better get your delicious cinnamon rolls before they run out!!!! Shelly and her daughter sure treat everyone great. Quick and clean and very reliable. Thanks for being on 66!

I love the food and the service is great. The bathrooms are located in the kitchen though and it is very uncomfortable to walk back there. Overall a great place, just use the restroom before coming!

Cuba, Missouri —- Shelly’s Cafe” (since 2012?) is a Route 66 neighborhood local favorite eatery ... owner operator “Shelly” workin’ the grill next to grill-master “Willis” (real sorry about the blurry pic Willis 😢) ... my breakfast “Stack” was enormous & tasty-riffic PLUS great presentation ...“Been There, Seen It, Done It” over the years of traveling Historic Route 66 (5 times) and always look forward to the Shelly Cafe smiles ...“Run-A-Way Bill” was here! ... and will return07.17.20 07.17.20
